You Can't be Serious!

The American people have been duped again.

The fiscal results of the last five presidents:

Ronald Reagan increased the budget by 186%. George W. Bush tallied 77%, his father George H.W. Bush with 53%. Jimmy Cater came in at 41.3% and Bill Clinton, the lowest with 40.6%. Are Republicans fiscally conservative? I think not.

A word to the wise, the GOP/Tea Party is misdirecting the American people by arguing over earmarks, which in total adds up to ½ of 1% of the deficit, money that is already allocated. This masks their true agenda.

The GOP/Tea Party want to extend the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest, adding $700 - $800 billion to the deficit.

They intend to repeal the health care reform bill, but the CBO estimates the bill will reduce the deficit by $143 billion over the ten years from 2010 through 2019. In the following years 2020 through 2029, they estimate that the bill will reduce the deficit by $1.3 trillion.

Following in the steps of Ronald Reagan, who signed START I President Obama initiated START II, attempting to reduce nuclear weapons in an agreement with Russia. But the GOP/Tea Party is in opposition to the treaty. Senator John Kyl wants to add another $14 billion to the deficit by manufacturing more weapons.

They want to cut increases to the Department of Veterans Affairs health care, denying $2.5 billion to our veterans.

Marco Rubio, the new Republican darling, who apparently is replacing Sarah Palin, wants to end the Alternative Minimum Tax and Death Tax programs adding a whopping $989 billion to the deficit.

In those immortal words often screamed by John McEnroe, “YOU CAN’T BE SERIOUS!”
